The report describes the situation of infant and young child feeding in Singapore and highlights the progress made in this country in implementing the Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding and the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. The report contains data on the situation of breastfeeding in Singapore, as well as the efforts made by the government to promote breastfeeding. Furthermore, the report details violations of the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, the Baby Friendly Hospitals Initiative, maternity protection and particular issues concerning HIV and infant feeding.
