During its 43rd session (11th-29tgh September 2006), the Committee on the Rights of the Child examined reports from Benin, Ethiopia, Ireland, Jordan, Kiribati, Oman, the Republic of Congo, Samoa, Senegal, and Swaziland.
It will also examined reports on the implementation of the Optional Protocol on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (OPSC) for Denmark, Syria and Vietnam, and reports on the implementation of the Optional Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict (OPAC) for Kazakhstan, Malta and Vietnam.
The following Concluding Observations to the States parties reports considered at the 43rd Session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child have been issued by the Committee today. They are available (in English) on the website of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. French and Spanish versions are forthcoming.
