Organisation aims and activities: AIFO is an Italian Non-Governmental
Organisation based in Italy, with the
head-office in Bologna.


Further details: As its' mission AIFO has chosen to focus on supporting leprosy affected persons and persons with disabilities through integrated development projects, with particular attention towards the poorer and vulnerable groups of persons, in a spirit of partnership. At the same time AIFO promotes activities of development education in Europe, for a better understanding of causes underlying poverty and under-development and for a just North-South relationship. AIFO is involved in more that 140 projects and micro-projects in 30 countries, for supporting three kinds of Projects: Leprosy and Primary Health Care; rehabilitation of disabled persons; and support for vulnerable children. There are three Regional Offices - in India, Brazil and Mozambique.
